Terungkap! Penyebab Bentrokan Anggota TNI AD dan Polisi di Mapolres Tarakan
Bentrokan antara anggota TNI AD dan personel kepolisian di Mapolres Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara, akhirnya menemui titik terang. Insiden yang sempat viral di media sosial ini bermula dari dugaan pengeroyokan terhadap seorang anggota TNI, yang kemudian memicu aksi balasan.

Kapendam VI/Mulawarman, Kolonel Kav Kristiyanto, menjelaskan bahwa kejadian bermula saat seorang anggota Yonif 614/RJP diduga dikeroyok oleh lima personel Polres Tarakan pada Sabtu, 22 Februari 2024. Pengeroyokan ini terjadi akibat kesalahpahaman antara kedua belah pihak.
Sebagai bentuk penyelesaian, personel Polres Tarakan sempat berjanji akan memberikan biaya pengobatan sebesar Rp10 juta kepada korban. Namun, hingga beberapa waktu kemudian, janji tersebut tak kunjung direalisasikan. Hal ini memicu kemarahan di pihak Yonif 614/RJP.
Aksi Spontanitas di Mapolres Tarakan
Situasi pun memanas ketika sekitar 20 anggota TNI mendatangi Mapolres Tarakan dengan maksud mencari lima anggota kepolisian yang diduga melakukan pengeroyokan. Dalam aksi spontanitas tersebut, terjadi pelemparan batu yang mengakibatkan kerusakan pada kaca dan pintu Pos Jaga, serta beberapa bagian gedung Mapolres Tarakan.
Langkah Cepat Pangdam dan Kapolda
Untuk mencegah eskalasi lebih lanjut, Pangdam VI/Mulawarman Mayjen TNI Rudy Rachmat Nugraha dan Kapolda Kalimantan Utara Irjen Pol Hary Sudwijanto segera berkoordinasi. Keduanya sepakat untuk menindak tegas anggota yang terlibat dalam insiden tersebut guna menjaga hubungan baik antara institusi TNI dan Polri.
Selain itu, pihak TNI turut bertanggung jawab atas kerusakan yang terjadi di Mapolres Tarakan. “Perbaikan terhadap fasilitas yang mengalami kerusakan telah dilakukan oleh personel Yonif 613/RJA sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab dan komitmen dalam menjaga hubungan baik antara TNI dan Polri,” ujar Kristiyanto.
Tegas dalam Menindak Pelanggaran
Pangdam VI/Mulawarman menegaskan bahwa tidak akan ada toleransi bagi anggotanya yang melakukan tindakan yang mencoreng nama baik institusi. “Setiap tindakan yang tidak sesuai aturan akan ditindak tegas demi menjaga kehormatan dan profesionalisme TNI,” pungkas Kristiyanto.
Dengan adanya langkah cepat dari kedua belah pihak, diharapkan kejadian serupa tidak terulang kembali dan hubungan sinergis antara TNI dan Polri tetap terjaga demi keamanan serta ketertiban masyarakat.
